The foundation beer for the acclaimed Ola Dubh series, first brewed in 1999 at Harviestoun Brewery in Alva, Scotland. Named by original brewer Ken Brooker—a former Ford prototype designer—after the thick, dark motor oil it resembled. This stout is old-school Scottish brewing: full-bodied, malt-forward, designed for sipping. Multiple specialty malts create layers of roasted character without harsh bitterness. It's the kind of beer that makes you slow down.
