From the producer: Lanson is one of the pioneer Houses to have produced a blended rosé, as early as 1833. It was in 1949 that the Lanson family decided to make a cuvée with the characteristic freshness of the Maison's style. The subtle addition of red wines - from emblematic Crus such as Bouzy or Les Riceys - the exclusive use of rosé reserve wines and the original vinification method, for the most part without malolactic fermentation, give it a unique pale, salmon colour – it bestows a fruitiness and a finesse that combined, distinguish it from other rosé Champagnes. Its delicate notes make it the ideal aperitif for a long summer evening, a picnic or the elegant accompaniment to a gourmet dessert

Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

  • If the wine is less than 10 years old and it is corked, you may return it to us for a full refund or exchange within 60 days of purchase. You must show us proof of purchase. We understand that you may not live near a shop and that it is difficult to ship open bottles of wine to us, so if there's any problem feel free to Contact Us and we'll work it out.
  • For wines older than 10 years, the consumer bears the risk of a faulty cork, but we accept returns of older bottles if the wine is faulty as a result of improper storage. Please come by the store or Contact Us if there is a problem.
  • We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened wines within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.

"Based on the 2014 vintage and disgorged in December 2019 with eight grams per liter dosage, Lanson's NV Brut Le Rosé is showing nicely, offering up aromas of peach, crisp orchard fruit, pink grapefruit and warm brioche. Medium to full-bodied, chiseled and incisive, with a racy spine of acidity and a pretty pinpoint mousse, it concludes with a saline finish. This is quite tightly wound out of the gates, and I suspect it possesses a bit of upside." —Robert Parker

After decades of neglect, Champagne Lanson has succeeded in regaining its place in the consciousness of American Champagne lovers in recent years. Is it the retro labels that look so good at all the hipster wine bars? Is it the remarkably high quality of the Champagnes?
