Yes, carrot. Austrian distiller Hans Reisetbauer in Axberg transforms 35 kilograms of organic carrots into a single liter of eau de vie—an astonishing concentration ratio. The carrots are biodynamically grown by Christian Schaddler on a farm 50 kilometers from the distillery, harvested in September-October, washed, chopped, and liquefied using natural enzymes. After 8–10 days of fermentation at a cool 16–17°C in stainless steel, the liquid is twice-distilled in a Christian Carl copper pot still, then rested three years before bottling. 375ml format.

Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

  • We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened spirits within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.
  • Under no circumstances do we accept returns of opened spirits.
