Four kilometers from the South African ocean on granite soils, a half-hectare of 1999 bushvines planted in high-density treinspoor format produces this extraordinary cool-climate Syrah. Fermented with whole clusters and aged 11 months in a blend of cement vats and older barrels, Swanesang reveals a marine-influenced character with perfumed black and blue fruit, hints of black olive, and a powdery, mineral finish. At just 12.5% alcohol, the wine combines ethereal elegance with compelling grip.

Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

If the wine is less than 10 years old and it is corked, you may return it to us for a full refund or exchange within 60 days of purchase. You must show us proof of purchase. We understand that you may not live near a shop and that it is difficult to ship open bottles of wine to us, so if there's any problem feel free to Contact Us and we'll work it out.
For wines older than 10 years, the consumer bears the risk of a faulty cork, but we accept returns of older bottles if the wine is faulty as a result of improper storage. Please come by the store or Contact Us if there is a problem.
We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened wines within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.

"The 2023 Swanesang is 100% Syrah from a site four kilometers from the ocean on granite soils, planted at slightly higher density than elsewhere. Using 90% whole-cluster fruit, it was aged 80% in cement vats and 20% in barriques, with the former racked twice. It has a perfumed bouquet with a mixture of black and blue fruit and hints of black olive coming through with aeration—beautifully delineated but quite backward. The palate is medium-bodied with gentle grip, driven by marine-influenced black fruit. It’s powdery in texture toward the finish that’s redolent of a fine Cornas.
