A founding member of the American Single Malt Whiskey Commission, Westward starts where most distilleries don't: by brewing a full American ale from scratch. Founded in 2004 by Christian Krogstad in Portland, Oregon, Westward ferments 100% locally sourced malted barley with craft ale yeast, then double pot-distills the beer in bespoke low-reflux stills designed to preserve the ale's character. Aged in new, heavily toasted and lightly charred American oak. Each Single Barrel Selection showcases one cask's unique personality.

  • Temperature-Monitored Shipping: We closely monitor weather conditions and make informed decisions to ensure shipments travel safely, with insulated packaging and refrigerated transport available when required.

  • Provenance Assured: All wines are maintained in climate-controlled conditions at our shop until the moment of dispatch.

Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

  • We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened spirits within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.
  • Under no circumstances do we accept returns of opened spirits.
