More about Extradimensional Wine Co. Yeah!

Hardy Wallace is no stranger to those who explore the esoteric side of Californian wine. His work at his previous winery, Dirty & Rowdy helped redefine what the state wines could be, helping to usher in an era of lighter more focused wines that more clearly speak of the land and climate that they were grown in. Those wines were not just loved at home but his work with Mourvedre and Semillon especially earned him a glowing reputation amongst many of the winemaking talents of Southern France. When they visited the shop they rarely missed an opportunity to buy some.

So it was a bit of a surprise that he shut down Dirty and Rowdy not too long ago. The original partnership was dissolving and for Hardy it just didn't make sense or feel right to keep going after the split. So along with his wife Kate Graham he founded the Extradimensional Wine Co. Yeah! determined to continue to make wines from California’s lesser known varieties that stand alongside the world's greatest wines.

Like all of Hardy’s wines these are made in a minimalist style to allow the grapes to speak and tell their stories as clearly as possible. He eschews the use of synthetic chemicals or new wood, instead depending on gentle winemaking techniques and native yeast in order to extract the most nuanced and expansive aromas and flavors. This is only enhanced with time as older bottles of Dirty and Rowdy continue to reveal new and more exotic components.

Hardy’s meticulously grown and made wines at Extradimensional are a truly transportive experience. They will take you from our foggy redwood shores to the dry, oak covered inland hills.
