Côt—the Loire's brooding, dark-fruited answer to Cabernet Franc—thrives in Touraine's clay-silica soils, especially when the vines are ancient. At La Grange Tiphaine, old vines rooted in limestone-enriched earth produce a wine of surprising complexity: wild berries, violet, and licorice dance with savory spice and mineral chalk. Biodynamically farmed and native-yeast fermented, this wine reveals layers with time in glass—blackberry structure gives way to graphite minerality and a long, refined finish.

Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

  • If the wine is less than 10 years old and it is corked, you may return it to us for a full refund or exchange within 60 days of purchase. You must show us proof of purchase. We understand that you may not live near a shop and that it is difficult to ship open bottles of wine to us, so if there's any problem feel free to Contact Us and we'll work it out.
  • For wines older than 10 years, the consumer bears the risk of a faulty cork, but we accept returns of older bottles if the wine is faulty as a result of improper storage. Please come by the store or Contact Us if there is a problem.
  • We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened wines within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.

More about La Grange Tiphaine

Three generations in, La Grange Tiphaine has cemented their place as one of the top producers in Montlouis-sur-Loire. Now led by Damien Delecheneau they are producing the best wine in their almost 100 year history. Under his leadership, they craft what have to be some of the most pure natural wines out there. After studying oenology and viticulture in Bordeaux and working at wineries in California and South Africa, Damien returned to the winery in 2002 bringing with him a scientific precision rarely seen in the natural winemaking world. The design of his winery and his herculean efforts to enforce quality control rival some of the world's most advanced. This way he can use little to no additions in his wine and thus allowing the exceptional terroir below his feet to take center stage.
