Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

  • If the wine is less than 10 years old and it is corked, you may return it to us for a full refund or exchange within 60 days of purchase. You must show us proof of purchase. We understand that you may not live near a shop and that it is difficult to ship open bottles of wine to us, so if there's any problem feel free to Contact Us and we'll work it out.
  • For wines older than 10 years, the consumer bears the risk of a faulty cork, but we accept returns of older bottles if the wine is faulty as a result of improper storage. Please come by the store or Contact Us if there is a problem.
  • We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened wines within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.

More about Ottaviano Lambruschi

The wines of Lambruschi are well known among the inner circles of Italian wine fanatics, but have not received much attention stateside. This is likely due to their miniscule quantities and because they’ve never had national distribution in the U.S. It’s a well kept secret that we are happy to be in on and share with you.

Fabio’s father, Ottaviano, first established the winery in the late 1970s when he purchased an old vineyard called Costa Marina after retiring from the famous marble quarry that is just over the border in Tuscany. Indeed, the local DOC is named Colli di Luni most likely because of the distinctive white rocks that make the mountains and hillsides look like the surface of the moon.

Colli di Luni straddles the border between Liguria and Tuscany, but the vineyards of Costa Marina are all located on the Ligurian side, at about 200 meters and they overlook the Mediterranean which is just a couple miles away. The fresh sea breezes directly influence the grapes, and lend a lovely mineral salinity to the texture and fruit of Vermentino.
