Cabernet Sauvignon from Fort Ross-Seaview—one of Sonoma Coast's most extreme appellations, where vineyards must sit above 920 feet. The Waterhorse Ridge vineyard perches at 1,700 feet, above the fog line, on just two organically farmed acres planted in 1997. Made by Sara Morgenstern and David Rothschild with the same natural approach as their other wines: minimal intervention, no new oak. Fort Ross-Seaview is mostly known for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, making this coastal Cabernet a genuine rarity—structured, high-acid, and shaped by the Pacific.
