"The 2021 Seriously Old Dirt is a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 2% Malbec and 2% Cabernet Franc, matured for 12-18 Months in a combination of older French oak barrique (48%) and the remaining balance in tanks with new French oak. It has a clean and fresh bouquet with blackberry, cedar and light pencil shaving aromas, just a subtle scent of wild mint in the background. Nicely focused. The palate is medium-bodied with a grainy-textured opening, veering more to red fruit (raspberry and wild strawberry) with a liberal sprinkling of cracked black pepper. Fruit-forward towards the finish, this has more opulence compared to other Bordeaux blends this vintage. Still, everything is finely proportioned, with a very slight leafiness emanating from the cooler vintage on the finish. Seriously good." -Neal Martin

"Made from mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with 8% Merlot and 2% each of Malbec and Cabernet Franc, the 2021 Seriously Old Dirt is ripe, herbal and spicy with notions of turned earth, dark cherry and spiced plum. Medium-bodied, the red blend has a savory and fresh palate, overdelivering at its price point and punching above its weight class. A little over 300,000 bottles were filled after resting for 12-18 months." -Anthony Mueller

"A suave red, with a sense of poise to the integration of ripe black currant, black cherry, Earl Grey tea leaf and dried mint flavors, backed by limber tannins and a subtle, minerally underpinning of smoke and loamy earth that echoes on the finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2031. 15,000 cases made, 1,500 cases imported."
