Gamay from Italy's smallest and least-known wine region—the Aosta Valley, tucked between France and Switzerland in the far northwest corner of the country. Grosjean Frères has farmed organically since 1975 (certified 2011). Their Gamay comes from steep, south-facing upper slopes in the villages of Quart, Saint Christophe, and Villeneuve. Four to five days of maceration, then stainless steel aging preserves bright fruit character. Think of it as a smokier, more mineral cousin of Beaujolais—mountain Gamay with altitude and character.

Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

If the wine is less than 10 years old and it is corked, you may return it to us for a full refund or exchange within 60 days of purchase. You must show us proof of purchase. We understand that you may not live near a shop and that it is difficult to ship open bottles of wine to us, so if there's any problem feel free to Contact Us and we'll work it out.
For wines older than 10 years, the consumer bears the risk of a faulty cork, but we accept returns of older bottles if the wine is faulty as a result of improper storage. Please come by the store or Contact Us if there is a problem.
We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened wines within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.

The Grosjean family has been farming the Valle d'Aosta since it was French territory, but it was only in the 1960s that Dauphin Grosjean (can you get more French with a name like that?) decided to turn the family's house wine, for family consumption, into a career. He began in earnest in 1969, and since 1975 only sustainable and organic farming practices have been used.

Dauphin's sons now run the estate, and are focused on producing gorgeous wines, made with integrity.
