Marc Hebrart Champagne 1er Cru Mes Favorites Vieilles Vignes NV

$7699

Marc Hébrart is one of the most respected grower-producers in Champagne, known for his meticulous vineyard work and precise winemaking. *Mes Favorites* is sourced from old-vine Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in Premier Cru vineyards in Mareuil-sur-Ay, vinified in stainless steel to preserve purity and aged on the lees to enhance depth.

The nose is elegant and inviting, with aromas of ripe orchard fruit, citrus zest, and hints of toasted almond. The palate is beautifully structured, offering flavors of baked pear, lemon curd, and a strong mineral backbone that carries through the long, refined finish.

A perfect pairing for shellfish, sushi, or aged cheeses, *Mes Favorites* is a stunning example of Premier Cru Champagne with both finesse and depth.

Antonio Galloni

"The NV Brut Mes Favorites Villes Vignes is perfumed and quite airy in feel. The Mes Favorites is a pretty wine, but there is not exactly the depth or gravitas I expect to see in an old-vines bottling. Dried flowers, herbs, chamomile and citrus open nicely in a tasty, mid-weight Champagne from Marc Hébrart. Disgorged: August 28, 2019." —Vinous

"Disgorged in August 2019, Hébrart's new release of the NV Brut Premier Cru Mes Favorites Vieilles Vignes is based on the 2015 vintage. Wafting from the glass with aromas of pear, white flowers, blanched almonds and Meyer lemon, it's medium to full-bodied, bright and pillowy, with a pretty core of fruit, lively acids and a refined mousse. Once again, it derives from superior, south-facing sites in Mareuil-sur-Ay that also inform his Special Club bottling." —Robert Parker

More about Marc Hebrart

Hébrart has holdings in a number of top sites in both the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs but is a specialist in the great village of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, where you find top spots like the Clos des Goisses and Selosse’s Sous le Mont.

When he blends his top cuvées, he has a lot of great source material to choose from but even Hébrart’s entry-level wines are pitched absolutely perfectly for Thursday. They're elegant and complex, and will elevate any dish. But they're not flashy or over the top: more supporting players than showboaters.
"Hébrart’s wines have a broad appeal: if you like to think about your wines, they're intellectually engaging enough to satisfy you; on the other hand, if you're just looking to drink, they're simply delicious." - Peter Liem, Champagne Guide
